Bulletin/Advisory Information: The SafeAssign service will be unavailable on Friday Dec 28, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM US Eastern (GMT-5). SafeAssign is being taken offline for a maintenance upgrade. Upon completion of this upgrade, the Support Bulletin will be updated to indicate SafeAssign is back online and available.In conjunction with the update, a new version of the SafeAssign Building Block for Blackboard Learn, Release 9.1 and higher will be released.These software updates to the SafeAssign central service and Building Block include fixes to the following SafeAssign issues:- Null user id clearing attempts from grade center
- A Proquest paper can't be opened by clicking on the link in the plagiarism report
- Student can view Assignment Grade when Column is Hidden in Grade Center
During this outage SafeAssign will be unavailable. End-users will not be able to submit papers through SafeAssign during the planned downtime and will receive an error message if they attempt to do so. SafeAssign Originality Reports will not be available to Instructors or Students during the planned downtime, nor will Instructors be able to access SafeAssign DirectSubmit. Please make end-users aware of these limitations. Use of SafeAssign can continue as normal after the planned downtime is complete. |
