Partner Cloud | 1.2.911600787 | 1.2.911600811 | September 10, 2014 | The following updates were made for the September Hot Fix 2014 Release: Suppress the "Academic Materials" messaging by market: • The Building Block will deem the Academic Materials functionality to be applicable to a market if it determines that at least one vendor has been configured for Learn for that market. • The Building Block will apply the new market applicability check to all areas of Learn that include Academic Materials functionality. • As of the Aug 29 2014 release the International and K12 markets do not have any applicable vendors. The Building Block now performs an additional check when determining whether to display the Academic Materials message in the overlay to a user. (This check is in addition to the market check added above). This check will examine the default status of the Academic Materials tools. If the default value for the Academic Materials course tool is “Always Off” and the system tool is “Off” the Building Block will not show the overlay to the user. If the default availability of the Academic Materials course tool is anything other than “Always Off” or the system tool is “On” we will show the overlay. Please note: • If the System Administrator has set the default availability of the Academic Materials course tool to “Default Off” the user will still be shown the overlay b/c the instructor could potentially enable the course tool. • If the System Administrator wants to disable the Academic Materials functionality the Academic Materials course tool should be locked off and the system tool should be off. |
